Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, congratulated Al Ahly’s board and the club's fans on laying the foundation stone of Al Ahly Stadium.

In his speech, Sobhy praised the efforts of the club’s board, while adding that the ministry provides its full support to the club.

“Laying the foundation stone of Al Ahly Stadium is one of the influential days in the history of Egyptian sports. A new sports stadium will be added to Egypt’s numerous number of stadiums.”

Minister Sobhy concluded his speech by thanking president Abdelfattah El-Sisi for his full support, adding that the ministry is in constant cooperation with Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and New Urban Communities, and the rest of the nation’s institutions in order to establish new sports institutions.
